Artist Statement – Deutsch

In meiner Arbeit untersuche ich den Kopf als Projektionsfläche für Emotion, Identität und existenzielle Zustände. Der Kopf wird zum Körper, zur Welt, zum Ort, an dem Lust, Leid und Widerspruch sichtbar werden.

Mich interessiert der Moment, in dem etwas kippt – wenn das Innere zu viel wird für das Äussere. Zeichnen ist für mich kein formales Kalkül, sondern ein Akt der Entladung und Selbstbegegnung. Wut, Angst, Liebe und Ohnmacht bahnen sich ihren Weg durch den Körper, über die Hand und das Material auf das Papier.

Die Figuren, die entstehen, schreien, platzen, lecken, explodieren. Sie verkörpern übersteigerte Zustände, die zwischen Verletzlichkeit und Kraft oszillieren – radikal subjektiv und zugleich universell nachvollziehbar.

Meine Arbeiten entstehen in Serien. Sie kreisen um Wiederholung, Obsession und den Versuch, innere Spannungen in eine physische Bildsprache zu überführen. Mich interessiert eine unmittelbare, körperlich erfahrbare Ästhetik – roh, direkt, ehrlich.

Artist Statment- Englisch

In my work, I explore the head as a projection surface for emotion, identity, and existential states. The head becomes a body, a world, a site where desire, pain, and contradiction manifest.

I am interested in the moment when something tips—when the inside becomes too much for the outside. Drawing, for me, is not a calculated act of form, but an act of release and self-confrontation. Rage, fear, love, and powerlessness move through the body, through the hand, onto the paper.

The figures that emerge scream, burst, lick, explode. They embody heightened states that oscillate between vulnerability and strength—radically subjective and yet universally human.

My works often evolve in series, circling around repetition, obsession, and the urge for discharge. I seek an immediate visual language—raw, physical, direct, and honest.
